Qld: Katter attacks drag queens at Oly closing
Federal politician BOB KATTER says having drag queens at the Olympics closing ceremony
would enhance Sydney's reputation as one of the world's great sleaze capitals.
The National Party MP says LA has Hollywood, India has the Taj Mahal and Sydney has
its drag queens.
Mr KATTER says the composition of the SOCOG committee, and their special ticket arrangements
has also left decent Australians shaking their heads.
Olympics Minister MICHAEL KNIGHT today confirmed drag queens will recreate scenes from
the Australian movie Priscilla Queen of the Desert at the closing ceremony along with
tributes to other internationally known local movies.
