NSW: Scenic Sydney tourist spot scene for cliff tragedy

A Melbourne man enjoying Sydney's picturesque Bondi to Bronte walk has died after falling
15 metres from a cliff onto rocks below.

The 23-year-old man and a mate of the same age made their way to a rock ledge a few
metres from the main path at Mackenzie Point yesterday afternoon, to watch the waves.

The Melbourne man slipped about 5pm (AEST) while trying to reach another ledge.

A surfer found him unconscious in the water and attempted resuscitation until life
savers arrived by jetski.

The man was taken to nearby Tamarama beach and rushed to the Prince of Wales Hospital
with head and spinal injuries.

He died late last night.

His name has not been released.
