NSW: Tow truck, semi-trailer smash into unit block

SYDNEY, Aug 19 AAP - A tow truck towing two vehicles has smashed into the wall of an
apartment block in Sydney's eastern suburbs.

A heavy-vehicle tow truck towing a truck and a trailer carrying pallets of bricks was
travelling north along Old South Head Road in Bondi about 9.20pm (AEST) yesterday.

It is believed that due to the wet roads and the weight of the load being pulled, the
tow truck was pushed down the hill, where it slid across the road to the right hand side,
drove over a grassy area and smashed into the brick wall of a unit block.

There were no injuries to the driver or passenger and noone else was injured in the
incident, police said.

It is not known to what extent the unit block was damaged.

Power lines were down due to the truck colliding with a power pole, but Energy Australia
has replaced the power line.
